This was an interesting project because of the story itself and how unique it was.  I chose to juxtapose the playful and bubbly facade of the anime princess with a more sinister look into her psyche by using lots of dark colors and shadows to convey to the audience the danger that the main character Ryan is really facing.  

 

For this film I created a practical prop in order to really bring the anime princess to life. The result was a dark but colorful scepter laced with gold thread and topped with a star that could light up with the switch of a button, which really helped the visual effects team track the scepter during post-production.
