Middle Ground
An undertaker finds himself face to face with a hallucination of the young woman he is preparing for a funeral, who gives him a deeper understanding of death and its meaning.
This project was very thought provoking and allowed me to explore the ways that different people respond to death.
The undertaker's viewpoint was more shallow and routine, because of the nature of his job, which I expressed through his odd collection of creepy decor. He is professional but detached, and I wanted to show that in his living space as well as his workplace to really emphasize his disregard for death.
